This method covers the determination of the steady-state rate of transmission of oxygen (O2) through the walls of plastic bottles. The method involves the use of a testing apparatus containing a coulometric sensor. The method permits a determination of the oxygen gas transmission rate (O2TR) and permeance (PO2) of the bottle.
